On Monday 29th November 2021,
Susanne Krotsetis (Nursing
development and nursing science
at the University Medical Centre
Schleswig-Holstein, UKSH)
presented the first results of
the Erasmus+ DISH project and
its underlying concepts to the
directorate of nursing, nursing
management and trainee managers
at the Campus Lübeck.
The DISH partner UKSH, one of the
largest medical care centers in
Europe, serves to ensure maximum
medical care in the northernmost
federal state of Germany and
guarantees medical-technical
assistance at the highest level.
In addition, the University
Medical Center is the largest
employer and training provider
in Schleswig-Holstein region,
thus integrating strategic
personnel development and
corporate health management.
The nursing management is and
will be significantly involved
when introducing and
implementing sustainable digital
innovative solutions for
healthcare professionals and end
users. Representatives of the
healthcare providers are an
important target group for the
adoption of the DISH concepts.
The promotion of
multidisciplinary collaboration
and change management can deeply
benefit from the use of the DISH
concepts when introducing
digital innovations into the
clinical workflow.
Menzel, one of the management
trainees who attended the
DISH presentation, stated:
„Putting digital concepts
into practice,
especially with such
different attitudes and
skills among caregivers,
is often a real problem.
Training in theory and
practice is not always
appropriately developed
for the target group.
Here, the DISH concepts
offer a proven
opportunity to jointly
meet the future
challenges of
introducing digital
solutions in the
healthcare sector. “
